"You're Everything"- Bo Bice; "The Real Thing"
You're Everything
Verse 1:
As long as you're who I’m with
Praise you with my dying breath
Pull my heart out of my chest
God I’ll do anything
I’ll open every car door
I won’t go out anymore
I’ll even eat off the floor
God I’ll do anything and oh
Pre Chorus:
I’ll be there to catch ya right when ya fall
I’ll be there as long as you tell me when
I’ll be there untill eternity ends
You know why, cause you’re worth everything
Chorus:
And side by side forever we’ll be together
It keeps getting better through the test of time
We’ll laugh in the face of danger
I’ll be your lone ranger
And you’ll be my angel as we wave goodbye
And ride into the sunset
From things we ain’t done yet
And prove to the world our love will never die at all
Verse 2:
I’d stick my hand in the flames
Subject my self to the pain
I’d even sleep in the rain
God I’d do anything
I’d cross the desert for you
Let you beat me black and blue
Spray paint your name on the moon
God I’d do anything
Pre Chorus:
And oh I’ll be there to catch ya right when ya fall
I’ll be there as long as you tell me when
I’ll be there untill eternity ends
You know why, cause you’re worth everything

"Cinnamon and Novocaine"- Bo Bice; "The Real Thing" Dual Disc
I recall I used to wander down that way
It was a beautiful, bright, sunny summer day
That little girl was so sweet
Like cinnamon & novocaine
Yeah, yeah, now she makes me high
Tastes so sweet but she numbs the pain
Yeah, yeah, then she says goodbye
Then she says goodbye, oh yeah
I spent many nights
just lookin’ in her deep blue eyes
Oh, but in the morning that little girl
She would make me cry
But I’d do it again
Like cinnamon & novocaine
Yeah, yeah, now she makes me high
Tastes so sweet but she numbs the pain
Yeah, yeah then she says goodbye
Then she says goodbye, oh yeah
(Oh) Like cinnamon & novocaine
Yeah, yeah, now she makes me high
Tastes so sweet but she numbs the pain
Yeah, yeah then she says goodbye (oh yeah, yeah, yeah)
Just Like Cinnamon & Novocaine
Yeah, yeah, now she makes me high
Cinnamon & novocaine
Yeah, yeah now she makes me high
Tastes so sweet but she numbs the pain
Yeah, yeah then she says goodbye
Then she says goodbye, oh yeah

"The Real Thing"- Bo Bice
The Real Thing Music Video:
The Real Thing Acoustic:
Verse 1:
Every word I say I mean it
Every single day I feel it
But sometimes when you talk
It’s obvious you want to show it
So don’t blow it
Chorus:
Tell me what we got
Tell me it’s a lot
Tell me it’s the real thing
Tell me not to change
And always be the same
Tell me that’s a good thing
It’s a good thing
Tell me not to lie
Tell me not to wait
Tell me that you want the same things as me
Tell me that it’s fate
Driving me insane
Tell me it’s the real thing
That keeps me hanging on
Verse 2:
I can read the signs between us
And I feel its inside when you come nearer
There’s a stillness in the air
Like no one else is there
And every moment stays in the moment
Chorus:
Tell me what we got
Tell me it’s a lot
Tell me it’s the real thing
Tell me not to change
And always be the same
Tell me that’s a good thing
It’s a good thing
Tell me not to lie
Tell me not to wait
Tell me that you want the same things as me
Tell me that it’s fate
Driving me insane

"Sinner In A Sin"- Bo Bice; "The Real Thing" Dual Disc
Sometimes it's hard to know
If you're going or if you're gone
So you dodge from right to left
Never knowing which way is wrong, no
You're holding strong to all you know
It's slipping fast until you fall
You're like a sinner in a sin
Never losing or never win
Well, I'm a poet without a pen
I've always been and I'd do it again
Gonna paint the town tonight
I'll use colors green and amber
I'm like a painter without a brush
I have a picture that fails to capture
And it's the chaos I understand
It's the calmness in my rants of anger
Just like a sinner in a sin
No, the Loser will never win
Well, I'm a poet without a pen
I've always been and I'd do it again
One day I'm going to wake up
And I know that the sun is going to shine
Keeps on shining down
I know that the clouds they are gonna part
Yes and I know its' rays they will find me
Keeps on shining down
You might say that I'm beaten down
Just so you'll always know
There's not a grain that's worth reaping
If your seed can't grow, ah no
Like a sinner in a sin
Never losing or never win
A poet without a pen
I've always been and I'd do it again
Oh, I'm a sinner in a sin
Oh, Never losing or never win
Well, I'm a poet without a pen
I've always been
And I'd do it again
Oh well, I'm a poet without a pen
And I've always been
And I'd do it again

"U Make Me Better"- Bo Bice; "The Real Thing"
U Make Me Better
Verse 1:
Lately
I been so far gone
Pretending
And, I don’t know where I went wrong
I been lying to myself
In the arms of someone else
But without you I just can’t fake it
Tonight
Here I am so
Chorus:
Please don’t tell me it’s the ending
You’re all I ever wanted from the beginning
I know I let you down
I’ll live with that forever
I wanna scream out loud
But you’re the only one that makes me better
Verse 2:
Baby
I could barely talk to you
You got me
Don’t know how I made it through
But still you came with me that night
you remember that all right
I can’t believe that we could loose this tonight
I’m beggin you now
Chorus:
Please don’t tell me it’s the ending
You’re all I ever wanted from the beginning
I know I let you down
I’ll live with that forever
I wanna scream out loud
But you’re the only one that makes me better
Bridge:
This time I’m gonna make you right
Just take me home with you tonight
Chorus:
Please don’t tell me it’s the ending
You’re all I ever wanted from the beginning
I know I let you down
I’ll live with that forever
I wanna scream out loud
But you’re the only one that makes me better
You make me better
You make me better
You make me better

"Valley Of Angels"- Bo Bice; "The Real Thing"
Valley of Angels
Verse 1:
I’ve been down and done nothing at all
And sometimes I feel I’ve grown
Never try to let it show
But I’m not alone
If you sing this song
I’ll take you there
If you don’t care
Chorus:
Go into the valley of angels
To swim in that deep blue sea
Surrounded by your faith and your glory
Its were I find my peace
True peace
In the valley of angels
In the valley of angels
Verse 2:
Heard so many stories, thought they were lies (but you know there true)
I know that I have quit before I even tried (oh don’t you quit my boy)
I stood up one day and found my self
But I’m not alone
If you sing this song
I’ll take you there
If you don’t care
Come with me
Chorus:
Go into the valley of angels
To swim in that deep blue sea
Surrounded by your faith and your glory
Its were I find my peace
You know I find true peace
In the valley of angels
Bridge:
All you ever dream to see
You can’t touch you don’t believe
Fly in here on angels wings
Go into the valley of angels

You know I find true peace
You know I’ll take you there
Oh if you don’t care
In the valley of angels

"Remember Me" (Acoustic) Bo Bice; "The Real Thing"
Remember Me (Acoustic)
Verse 1:
Darkness calls and sheds its light on me
It makes me feel like what we had was really nothing at all
Now do you care or am I in this alone
Well maybe I am, oh if I am
Chorus:
Remember me
Remember all the times
All the endless nights
We didn’t wanna to see
Oh remember me
and how I made you laugh
Till I made you cry we had everything
Now don’t you ever forget
Verse 2:
So this is love
It feels like agony
I want you here
Cause the thought of you with someone else is hell on earth
I can’t breathe
Knowing that you don’t believe
In all that we had
So all that I ask is
Remember me
Remember all the times
All the endless nights
We didn’t wanna to see
Oh remember me
and how I made you laugh
Till I made you cry we had everything
Oh don’t you ever forget
Bridge:
All of the memories
Of leaving me empty
Oh how I want you here right now
It gets so lonely
I need you to hold me
Everything else just brings me down
Chorus:
Remember me
remember all the times
All the endless nights
we didn’t wanna to see
Oh remember me
and how I made you laugh
Till I made you cry we had everything
So don’t you ever forget
Never forget, remember me

That’s a place that I love every time
Baby, don’t you know
Love Whiskey Women and Time

Love travelin’ thin white lines
‘Bout ninety miles outta Vegas
And it’s been a long trip
There’ve been many time
I stumble on the way

I keep comin’ up and fallin’ down
And everything here but in between

I love travelin’ thin white lines
Love Whiskey Women and Time
Love travelin’ thin white lines

Grab a friend if you want
Come along

In and out like the town*

I keep travelin’ down roads'*
Thin white lines
Many miles behind me now
Feels like a billion miles
I can’t wait to get back home
See my mom, my dad, my brothers and sisters
The people that I love, baby, don’t ya know
It’s good to be back home again
Mmm, yeah
Whiskey Women and Time
I love travelin’ thin white lines
But it’s good to be back home again (back home again, yeah)

"It's Only Words"- Bo Bice
I don't know how much I can take
Before I reach the point of breaking down again.
Just like a candle to the wind
It only burns a short while
Then it's out again.
But you say it's only words.
You say it's only words.
In my heart I know
That its time to go
In my heart I know you.
Do I ever cross your mind
Love is blind they say, I still can’t find my way
Although I’ve lost myself at times
In my heart I know you’re never far away.
But you say it's only words.
You say it's only words.
In my heart I know
That its time to go
In my heart I know you.
It’s only words, its only words
It’s only words, its only words

Chris Tompkins on Songwriting, Muscle Shoals, and Pretty Little Souped Up Four-Wheel Drives
Chris Tompkins (American Blood) was gracious enough to give ThreeDimen an interview where they discussed music, writing and even a little Bo. To read the full interview CLICK HERE.
"You got your start in Muscle Shoals, which will forever be identified with Southern Rock. Southern Rock reached its apogee in the 1970’s. Which acts do you see as the current torch bearers for Southern Rock? Where do you see the Southern Rock influence in popular music today?
Actually, I really feel like Bo Bice is the real deal. Although his first record did really well and was a good record, his next record is going to have more of that rootsy influence. [...] Let’s just say, Bo’s new album is going to be phenomenal. I also want to say my two good friends from Muscle Shoals, Gary Nichols and Jason Isbell are absolutely the real deal. They are true to what they do - which is rare."
"I’ve heard a bootleg from your February performance at the Bluebird with Jason Isbell, Gary Nichols and Bo. It was just great. Tell me — why did you guys stop playing together? Could you all get back together for a CD or two, just as a personal favor to me?
Bo, Gary and Jason are some of my closest friends…before any of us had success, we were back home in Muscle Shoals going out on the weekends, sitting in with the bands, hanging out at each other’s houses, going on road trips, etc. etc. That Bluebird show was a very special night. It was the first night that all of us had gotten out together and played after each one of us had had some success. I will never forget it. It’s very possible that we will all play together again…as for the CD..who knows."
"Sitting watching TV a couple years back, if you would have known Carrie Underwood was going to perform your first number one song, would you still have voted for Bo?
I would have kept voting for Bo and made my wife vote for Carrie …that’s a hard question there. That whole thing is so ironic. Bo came to my #1 party (Carrie was of course there) and everyone got a kick when I told the story of voting for Bo…even Carrie chuckled…
What’s coming up next for you? Have your found an artist to perform your next number one song, or are Bo and Gary still arm wrestling for it?
Bo has recorded two of the three songs we’ve written lately. I’m very excited about that. [...] I’m truly thankful to be able to share my music. I will say in closing, Bo’s got some damn loyal fans. Ya’ll rule."
For those of you who haven't heard the BlueBird Whippingpost, you're in for a treat!

"PAPION"- Bo Bice
Papion
Verse 1
Papion was a sailor
He sailed across the seas
A ship wrapped to his ankle
His ransom was all that he plead
Brought here by his father's hands
Swept out upon their shores
Left him feeling turbulent
Tired, and tattered and torn
Chorus
A change is happening it don't seem the same
The coming attractions the drop of the name
I feel so worthless and you take the blame
Verse 2
Stories are lies with smiles and promises
Broken they amount to the truth.
I left you here with what I owned
Everything more than past due
I have no need for this tragedy
Or standing alone in the cold
Left on this ship now this ship I ride
Everything else has been broken
Chorus
Well now on this shp the ship I ride
No more taking me nothing but the tide
Taking me away
It takes me more and more each day
And the places I've gone and the things I've seen
There's nothing more a man ever wishes
He could ever be, but still I keep on dreamin'
So I port my ship, slept under the stars
Done lots of things, played in many bars
But I never seem to be satisfied
Enough for myself, for my friends, for my family
From beginning to end they know that I love them all.

"Lonely Man" - Bo Bice
Lonely Man
Lizzie Bo Jean was a kind hearted girl
Her sister was known as a friend
Young Dylan fell in love with that fine blue-eyed girl
Then she crushed his heart in her hand
Chorus
He’s a lonely man
Picking up the pieces that he can
Would he ever learn to love again
A lonely man
Peter was a gambler in a one horse town
He never made a bet he couldn’t win
His wife passed away a year to the day
That he finally folded his hand
Chorus
He’s a lonely man
Picking up the pieces that he can
Would he ever learn to love again
A lonely man
Standing on the porch just waiting for the door
To open up so he could see her face
Where he was the night before she can’t ignore
Now she’ll be walking out the gate (now [i]something[/i] broken-hearted place?)
Chorus
And he’s a lonely man
Picking up the pieces that he can
He betrayed the band that was on her hand
Now he is the lonely man
He’s a lonely man,
He’s just picking up the pieces that he can
Betrayed the band that was on her hand
Now he is the lonely man
Now he is the lonely man
Now he is the lonely man

"I LOVE THE ROAD"- Bo Bice
I Love the Road
What a present I’ve been given
Killing time for a livin’
Working hard at having fun
Yet I’m always on the run
Chorus
And now my baby’s calling me
Up from Nashville Tennesse
Asking me to come back home
Yes she knows I love the road
Was in Bakersfield on Sunday
Woke up in Arkansas on Monday
Spent last night in San Anton’
Wednesday comes I’ll be in Rome
Chorus
And now my baby’s calling me
Up from Nashville Tennessee
Asking me to come back home
Yes she knows I love the road
Late one night in New York City
Situation wasn’t pretty
I made the papers the next day
Can’t believe a damn thing they say
Chorus
Now my baby’s calling me
Up from Nashville Tennessee
Asking me what have I done
I said I’m just having fun
This is the only life I know
Yeah I sure do love the road
One that that all you people know
Yeah I sure do love the road

"I'm Gone"- Bo Bice
I’m Gone
Bo sings an original he co-wrote with Chris Tompkins
I’m gonna give leaving a brand new meaning
Show you how it feels to be alone
I can’t find the rhyme within her reason
Guess it’s time for me to just move on.
Chorus
Cause I’m gone
I’m gone
I’m gone
Traveling down this lonely road
A friend to the wind and the sky’s my home
Traveling down this road yet I’m all alone
But I’m gone
Another coffee smoke-filled Sunday morning
She’s in the other room but not at home
I’ve tried everything to please that woman
The beauty’s in the sparkle not the stone
Chorus
But I’m gone
I’m gone
I’m gone
Traveling down this lonely road
A friend to the wind and the sky’s my home
Traveling down this road yet I’m all alone
But I’m gone
I don’t worry about tomorrow
I find out a mile on down the road
Chorus
That I’m Gone
Traveling down this lonely road
Friend to the wind and the sky’s my home
Traveling down this road yet I’m all alone
But I’m gone

"SEE THE LIGHT"- Bo Bice & Thomas Lee
See The Light
There’s a meeting across the river
Just past the smokescreen in your eyes
Everybody’s waiting to see you deliver
Now’s the time to break the ties that bind
Come on down now from your fences
Come on down now to the other side
Chorus
Broken down and another man said
Who’s gonna be there to pay your bail?
It’s hard sometimes to know what is right
Every day’s just another hard time
And you know by now you got to pay to ride
And that’s alright
‘Cause I finally see the light
Didn’t think there’d be a (summons?)
Don’t make no difference by and by.
I can’t be bothered by your (burden?)
It’s just a matter of time before it dies.
Chorus
Broken down and another man said
Who’s gonna be there to pay your bail?
It’s hard sometimes to know what is right
Every day’s just another hard time
And you know by now you got to pay to ride
And that’s alright
‘Cause I finally see the light
Let it shine. Let it shine. Baby, let it shine
Just go on about your business
Break out the truth in the light of day
One more thing you should consider
Is how those lies gave you some damn good shade.
Chorus
Broken down and another man said
Who’s gonna be there to pay your bail?
It’s hard sometimes to know what is right
Every day’s just another hard time
And you know by now you got to pay to ride
And that’s alright
‘Cause I finally see the light

"American Blood"- Bo Bice (Chris Tompkins)
"American Blood" - Bo Bice
A collaboration with Chris Tompkins, Bo dedicates this song to the troops.
See it on the TV
Tears begin to flood
In the eyes of the innocent
The American Blood
It’s coming down the mountain
From somewhere up above
Filling in the oceans
With American Blood
Chorus
Now the battle lines are missing
So many lines have been crossed
And it’s hard to tell sometimes who’s guiding, who’s lost
Oh what’s the cost?
It’s American Blood
It’s coming across the airwaves
It’s kicking up the dust
In the heart of all our children
It’s American Blood.
Chorus
Now the battle lines are missing
So many lines have been crossed
And it’s hard to tell sometimes who’s guiding, who’s lost
Oh what’s the cost?
It’s American Blood
Driven by the dollar
Freedom, greed and love
All we have to offer
Is American Blood.
American Blood
Oh yeah American blood

"I Ain't Gonna Die"- Bo Bice & Gary Nichols
"I Ain't Gonna Die" - Bo Bice & Gary Nichols
It’s a strange situation that I got myself into
God I shoulda listened when they said stay away from you
Made my decision and didn’t care about the consequence
The pain, the lies, you hurt my pride, I wonder where my money went
Chorus
You do what you do just to get at me
And if makes you feel good go ahead and try
Oh I’ll take anything that you throw at me
And it might hurt but I ain’t gonna die, oh no
Well you shoulda known a good thing if it looked you in the face
Now you pay attention, instead of gettin’ off into my space
You’ll see a new way, that wasn’t there the day before
But one more try, if not good bye, and go ahead and close the door
Chorus
You do what you do just to get at me
And if makes you feel good go ahead and try
Oh I’ll take anything that you throw at me
And it might hurt but I ain’t gonna die
[repeat chorus]

"This Train" - Bo Bice & Thomas Lee
This train is coming down the track and I’m hearing it calling my name.
I’ve got a dollar in my pocket and I’m hoping that I can make it on OK
All the years of counting on nothing, well at least its on my mind
If I can make it on this time, you know I’ll take it on down the line
Chorus
Well now this train
Is coming down for me
And I know this train
Is coming down full speed
I know this train
Is coming down my way
I know this train
Is going to make it OK
I’m at the station with a bottle and a bible
And I’m waiting on a northbound train
God’s willing and I’m hoping that He’s happy
cause I know that I’m feeling no pain
All the years I’ve counted on nothing went by in the blink of an eye
All the tears and blissful years - you learn to crash before you fly.
Chorus
Yeah I know this train
Is coming down my way
And I know this train
Is going to make it OK
I know this train
Is coming down full speed
Yeah this train
Is coming down for me
This train is coming down for me.
[repeat chorus]
For me
Yeah
I know this train
I know this train
Yeah

Bo Bice New CD to launch this fall
The album, which Bice is recording with noted country producer Frank Liddell (Faith Hill, Dixie Chicks), features the music hound's wish list of famed session masters. "I was throwing around ideas of the people I wanted to play on it," Bice said. "And I was like, 'Yeah, sure, these guys will play on my album. Right!' " But a few phone calls landed him Rolling Stones keyboardist Chuck Leavell — who Bice met a decade ago when he delivered a package of Christmas CDs to Leavell's house — as well as Black Crowes drummer Steve Gorman, legendary session guitarist Waddy Wachtel (Keith Richards, Tom Waits) and bluegrass icon David Grisman.
"It's a star-studded cast, and I'm the only one on there who's not famous," the ever-humble Bice joked. "I picked and co-wrote the songs that if I was a guy who would be spending my hard-earned money buying an album I would want to hear." That means original back-to-basics Southern rock and country-tinged singer/songwriter tunes co-written with A.J. Croce (son of 1970s singer Jim Croce) and Chris Tompkins (Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats").
Bice said he wrote 31 songs for the album and is narrowing down the list to 10-12 that will make the final cut, including four songs that are currently vying to be the first single.
"I didn't have a lot to do with the first record," said Bice, who took time off in late 2006 to have another surgery to finally correct a nagging intestinal blockage that hospitalized him 15 times last year. "It was very RCA and Clive [Davis]-driven. It was an excellent album, but it was a revolving door of one guy in this week, another guy the next. This time I was here for every aspect [of it], and I'm a lot more comfortable."
