Bo Bice-New CD Coming This Fall

The other day, on the spur of the moment, Bo posted on the bobice.com message board that he would be having a live chat on Stickam
Bo appeared on camera and talked to fans and answered some of their questions.
I missed the chat but here is what I gathered from fan recaps:

*Bo said he's feeling good. Said he lost about 10-12 lbs when he had bronchitis, but has put the weight back on and is at the weight that's really best for him right now which is 155 lbs.
He said anything above that and he gets a bit of a "belly". LOL

*He is really proud of this CD and how much it reflects who he really is this time. He wants everyone to spread the word that this is a full on Southern Rock CD.

*He mentioned that "American Blood" is just a tentative title for the new cd, something bobice.com put out as a template for the CD cover art contest to help people with a concept, but said that they're open to the fans submitting other ideas if they have a concept for another title like I'm Gone or See the Light. Said he has been looking at the fan's art on the website and thinks it's great.

*Bo mentioned September as the release month but no specific date.

*He mentioned that there would be TV promotion for the CD.

*Bo is really excited about the upcoming tour but he doesn’t know a start date yet.

*He tries to check in and read at bobice.com a little bit every day.

*He’s really excited about the upcoming year.

*He also said that he is trying to become more computer and internet savvy. He said that he's been watching videos of the acoustic tour on youtube and he will be posting more and doing more video blogs etc. to give us a kind of look behind the scenes, life on tour, etc. He said it was his way of doing his own little reality show in a manner of speaking.

I for one am VERY excited about this new cd. Stay tuned for more info!

Longtown Sound 136 Feat.- Bo Bice, Chris Tompkins, Gary Nichols, Jason Isbell

Mercury recording artist, Gary Nichols, Jason Isbell- formerly with Drive By Truckers, Chris Tompkins and Bo Bice got together at Nashville’s Blue Bird Cafe in February 2007 and in today’s Longtown Sound you’ll hear cuts from that night of song pullin’ and fun.
Lots of amazing sounds were sent to me by various means. Someone is always pokin’ and proddin’ Uncleshag and he likes it - A LOT! Thanks to you all and you know who you are.
Remember, these live, raw cuts are not at all close to studio quality. Each has been equalized and trimmed of as much external noise as possible and the fades are the editors choice. Hopefully you’ll enjoy these new sounds of Nashville’s writers and tomorrow’s stars - as interpreted by the ears of Uncleshag.

Bo Bice- "We Can't Change This World" - 2005

We Can't Change This World
Video from The Hurrican Katrina Benefit Concert
Taped by Tracy 10_15_05

PEOPLE.COMSEPTEMBER 08, 2005

[...]
I understand Hurricane Katrina inspired you in many ways.
I'm a CNN junkie. I wrote a song about it and I'm going to sing it Sunday. It's called "We Can't Change This World." I'm talking about we can't change this world if we can't change our minds. The first step is realizing there is a problem. The problem doesn't have to be something that we're going to solve (right away), but to sit around and say it's never going to be solved – man, if we quit trying, we'd be worthless.

Sunday's concert will benefit the American Red Cross. What else can people do?
I told my fans the best thing they can do is help the Red Cross. I moved from Birmingham to Nashville, and living in my house in Helena (Alabama) right now is a family from Grand Isles (on the coast of Louisiana). These people had to uproot their lives because of the hurricane. My wife's dad is doing the same thing with helping people out and bringing them into their home. It's not about money, it's about what you can do.

I'm not a rich man, but I'm rich with what God has given me – great family and great friends. If I can be a mouthpiece to motivate people, that's the smallest thing I can do. But I was put on this earth to do more than sing songs. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty. The first chance I get I'm going down there.

"Blades Of Glory" Music Video: Bo Bice

Bo Bice belts out the Title Track to "Blades of Glory". Cheesetastic!!!

I'm a lone wolf in a cage, lost my partner to a lie
like a bird with broken wings yaaehh its impossible to fly
I try to live for two but only trust in one
is there nothing that we can do , are we truly done

(Chorus)
Every day if we do or die as were sailing across the sky
now were coming home on these blades of glory..
Settin' fire to the ice, is the dream that keeps us alive
now were coming home on these blades of glory

Could this be the end of our mythic story

I dont know what to say , I dont know where to turn
All I know is if I stay, ooohhh this ice it sure can burn
men whose scared of truth, can only trust in lies
a boy who scared to dream can never touch the sky

(Chorus)
Every day if we do or die as were sailing across the sky
now were coming home on these blades of glory..
settin' fire to the ice, is the dream that keeps us alive
now were coming home on these blades of glory

Today is the first chapter, of our mythic story
we'll never part on these blades of glory
and we'll cross our hearts on these blades of glory

What do you say tonight we celebrate ,
by goin out whorin yeah
ohho ohhh lets go all the way , its our Glory

"Changing For The Better"- Bo Bice

Feel the wind out on the street,
it blows my hair and moves my feet
Takes me to a different place in time
People laughing everywhere
Wandering round without a care
Happiness it makes the heart go blind
Well I see saints
I see sinners
There’s losers and there’s winners
I ain’t no beginner to the pain
Cause I’ve done right and I’ve done wrong
But it’s hard to carry on
But it’s easier just knowing who’s to blame

So I’m changing for the better this time
I guess I’m gonna need to cross the line
Things I had to leave, I left behind
Cause I’ve been changing for the better, changing for the better
Changing for the better this time

Start to see the second sight
Move from darkness into light
Just forget these things I thought I’d known
So many things I can’t believe
Second chances, third degrees
Tried my best to find my own way home
Well I’ve had good times and bad times
Ate my words, drank my wine
Many friends I’ve had to leave behind
Well it gets worse, it gets better
Yea, I read it in that letter
She’d sit beside to see that things were fine

So I’m changing for the better this time,
I guess I’m gonna need to cross the line
Things I had to leave, I left behind
Cause I’ve been changing for the better, changing for the better
Changing for the better this time

"Hold On To Me"- Bo Bice; "The Real Thing"

Video Montage

Verse 1:
Who am I to say you’re wrong for feeling what you feel
But something in the way you talk like you’ve forgotten what is real
You don’t have to prove you’re strong to face it on your own
Cause it’ll steal your breath
It’ll wear you out
It’ll throw you to the ground, but

Chorus:
There is a light of day
Hold on, hold on
It’s closer than you let yourself believe
When life cuts you like a blade
It’s gone so wrong
You can’t remember who you’re supposed to be
Hold on, hold on to me

Verse 2:
You can tell me anything your deepest darkest fears
I ain’t gonna judge you baby that’s not why I’m here
You can lay your burden down you can lay it down on me
And I’ll take it on
I’ll lift you up
I’ll face you to the sun

Chorus:
There is a light of day
Hold on, hold on
It’s closer than you let yourself believe
When life cuts you like a blade
It’s gone so wrong
You can’t remember who you’re supposed to be
Hold on, hold on to me

Bridge:
To everything you’re certain of
All the love that’s right in front of you
Trouble always has a door
That you can break through

Chorus x2:
There is a light of day
Hold on, hold on
It’s closer than you let yourself believe
When life cuts you like a blade
It’s gone so wrong
You can’t remember who you’re supposed to be
Hold on, hold on to me

"It's My Life"- Bo Bice; "The Real Thing"

It's My Life
Verse 1:
Looking out the airplane window
Thirty thousand miles of shadow
All the silver linings bend into the night
Never any hesitation
Never any explanation
I wish I had a ticket off this flight

Pre chorus:
Everything keeps moving fast
What I want is what I have
Right now, I’m closer that I thought I could be

Chorus:
It’s my life, my time to find the answers
Don’t always know what kind of road is in front of me
But I’ll go slow wanna remember every moment
That this is by the goodness ride has ever been
It’s my life

Verse 2:
In times I really miss my family
I wonder what they're doing right now
I know they're thinking of me
I can’t imagine where I’m going
But I know where it is I come from
And it makes me feel complete

Pre Chorus:
Everything keeps moving fast
What I want is what I have
Right now, I’m closer that I thought I could be

Chorus:
It’s my life, my time to find the answers
Don’t always know what kind of road is in front of me
But I’ll go slow wanna remember every moment
That passes by the goodness ride has ever been
It’s my life, it’s my life

Bridge:
And it’s a real good fight
Trying to find what’s mine
Tryin’ to be who I’m supposed to be
It’s my life, its my time to find the answers
Don’t always know what kind
But I’ll go slow wanna remember every moment
That passes by the goodness ride has every thing
It’s my life
